The Framar is named after FRAnk MARshall. And it's doing the research based that started when we found her reviewed in a 1937 motor boat magazine, That publication may have made a typo in his name and put B and not P.
If you click on the following link you will find the rest of the story from that article. If you compare that information with the sent information below, it shows you how the B and P typo may have been misleading for years.I wanted to tell you this information so that you know that her historical information isn't made up at all. Here is link to a radio interview that sparked the public to call in regarding her past owners and their memories around the Framar.I created and edited the video with the radio in the background.Hope this information helps you understand that we are not following any false claims. Also the Framar was published in last years Martime world wide magazine that was apparently founded by Baden Powell himself.Originally the scouts council had debunked that Powell never had any involvement in boats. But the magazine re connected them dots and published her story and assured us he did.
Now you know why we want to save and share this boat.
